How To Use Tooth Powder

Tooth powder is a clean alternative to toothpaste that can effectively clean and freshen your teeth. Here's how to use it:

1. Dampen Your Toothbrush

  • Wet your toothbrush by running it under water. This moisture helps the tooth powder to adhere to the bristles.

  • Shake excess water off of the bristles. You definitely don't want it wet enough to drop water into your tin of tooth powder.

2. Apply Tooth Powder

  • Dip your damp toothbrush into the tooth powder, ensuring that the bristles are lightly coated with the powder. You don't need a large amount—just a small sprinkle will suffice.

3. Brush & Rinse

Rub the tooth powder onto your teeth.

Now, this is going to sound weird, but you're going to want add more water to your bristles and rub that on your teeth too. You’ll probably find that adding that extra moisture creates a better consistency for brushing.

Gently brush your teeth in small, circular motions. Be sure to cover all surfaces of your teeth, including the front, back, and chewing surfaces. Brush for about 2 minutes.

Brush your tongue lightly as well to reduce the bacteria living there, resulting in fresher breath.

Rinse as normal.

4. Store Properly

Keep your tooth powder tin securely closed so it remains dry. Moisture could cause it to clump.

Tooth powder can provide a refreshing clean, and many people find it a great natural alternative to toothpaste.
